Cristiano Ronaldo's World Cup dream ended up in tears.

Portugal's World Cup campaign ended in dramatic fashion, while Pepe was blaming

the referee and Georgina Rodriguez was

busy raging at Fernando Santos.Cristiano

Ronaldo was in tears the five-time Ballon d'or's dreams of winning the World Cup were cut short by the atlas lions and CR7 simply could not take it.It is official CR7 will never have the World Cup in his enviable trophy cabinet the Portuguese had started Qatar 2022 with a bang it was none other than the 37 year old wonder who scored the very first goal for Portugal in the tournament little did he know that the penalty he scored against Ghana was going to be his last at a World Cup, Ronaldo's journey in Qatar was a saddening decrescendo that ended in tears the most prolific goal scorer in the history of international football first saw his role in the team questioned and then lost his place in the starting 11 to a 21 year old Talent,as his side fell short against Morocco in the quarterfinals there was only one silver lining for Ronaldo and it was him becoming the player with the most number of international caps.A record he now shares with Kuwait's Bader al-mutawa with 196 matches but this or any other Personal Achievement couldn't mean less for Ronaldo.

As soon as the final whistle was blown and Moroccan players were celebrating their history-making achievement Ronaldo was in tears the man we have almost never seen crack Under Pressure could not take.As he went to the dressing room in a weeping fit one of Ronaldo's ultimate teammates Pepe was firing shots at FIFA in a Flash interview a veteran criticized FIFA's decision to appoint an Argentinian referee to their game especially after Leo Messi had criticized the officials in the other quarter-final matchup,"it is unacceptable for an Argentine referee to referee our game.I'm not saying that he comes here conditioned but we weren't allowed to play the second half after what I saw today, they can give the title to Argentina now."

Far-fetched or not we let you be the judge of that but the 39 year old Defender wasn't the only person who was Furious after the game cr7's significant other Georgina Rodriguez was also fuming but it wasn't the referee that she had in our sights Rodriguez took to Instagram shortly after the final whistle and she wasn't there to pull her punches,"Today your friend and coach decided wrong you cannot underestimate the best player in the world, the most powerful weapon. You can't stick up for someone who doesn't deserve it.Life teaches us lessons today we have not lost, we have learned."

oh boy talk about taking shots regardless of anyone's take on Portugal's exit or the reason behind Ronaldo's performances nothing would change the fact that the Portuguese Superstar will leave the game with the one trophy he so desperately wanted thanks to his illustrious career future Generations will have to dig deep to find out that Ronaldo was never able to score in eight knockout stage appearances at the World Cup but we're pretty sure that if they do he won't be happy about that at all and he will definitely be more agitated when he is compared to his archrival was absolutely killing it in his last World Cup whatever happens Ronaldo's name will always be among the greatest do you think cr7's exit from the World Cup marks the end of an era can the Legend come back from this incredible heartbreak make sure to let us know in comments 📥.
